Who I am
I build things: Rubrica, SiteProof, Gavel. Tools that automate grading, property inspections, and code quality gates. I'm also a Graduate Student Instructor for Microeconomics at UC Berkeley and a former TA for the Data & Decisions course at Haas. When I'm not building, I'm likely negotiating grades with undergrads who are smarter than me.
My career spans 13+ years across B2B sales, operations, process consulting, and analytics, from founding employee at a startup to managing a $4.5M Oil and Gas market. I'm skilled in Python, Flask, Claude API, SQL, and High Fives, and I thrive at the intersection of technology and business strategy.
Outside of work: avid hiker and cyclist, intermediate Japanese speaker who has lived in Japan, and a proud member of the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation.

Privacy-first AI exam grading
Anonymizes student exams with random IDs, grades via Claude's vision API against decomposed rubrics, and
maps results back locally. Validated across 3 subjects with ICC 0.96 and QWK 0.91 cross-model agreement.
Calibrated rubrics reduced human-AI mean bias to 0.07 pts per exam. Generates class performance diagnostics
that surface student learning gaps at scale.

VLM spatial reasoning on mountain bike footage
Tested NVIDIA Cosmos Reason 2 (a world foundation model trained on robots and AVs) on helmet cam MTB
footage. Ran 2B locally on RTX 5070 Ti, 8B on rented A100. Mapped where spatial reasoning transfers
(terrain, obstacles, risk) and where it breaks. Full pipeline: video preprocessing, zone decomposition, 16
prompt templates, GPS telemetry validation.
